A short story of a French Intern at Absolute Interpreting and Translations ltd

After graduating from my BA in Modern Languages I decided to do a 3-month internship in a translation agency. Even though I was a bit scared at first to move to Birmingham, Absolute is so used to work with people from all over the world that it all became very easy. Indeed they have always been very patient and comprehensive during my whole internship.
Besides from improving my oral and written skills in English I learnt a lot on how to run a translation agency. Not only was I trained on how to manage translation projects but I was also taught on how to deal with clients’ demands and became a lot more professional in life overall.
Another point is that Absolute really made me improve my translations skills by assigning me a lot of translation projects, which was later on assigned to professional and qualified proofreaders. I had also the chance to work as an interpreter which was really exciting and I am sure that I will have no problems at all to make this 3-month experience very valuable in my resume.
On the whole, I am really pleased with this internship and would recommend it to anyone who would like to come to UK for a while and learn how a professional translation agency really works.
